- At the GTNF forum, Brian.A.King, director of the U.S. FDA Tobacco Products Center, stated that the FDA is very supportive of vape innovation and will work hard to adapt to this change to promote innovative vape products to enter the U.S. market. At the same time, it stated that submitting a PMTA application for vape products does not mean that they can be sold legally.
- At the GTNF Forum, Julian Cheung, JTI Asia Pacific Anti-Illegal Trade Operations Director, pointed out that the global illegal cigarette trade volume will reach US$4 trillion in 2022, and the number of counterfeit tobacco products accounts for 33.9% of the total global cigarette production.
- In August 2023, China’s vapeexports to the United States totaled US$255 million (approximately RMB 1.858 billion), a month-on-month decrease of 3.05% and a year-on-year increase of 3.03%.
- Six companies/organizations including ICCPP, Vaporesso, Innokin, ANDS, Alliance One India Industries (AOII), and The Center for Agricultural Transformation (CAT) won the 2023 Golden Leaf Award, three of which are Chinese e-cigarette companies.

- From 2017 to last year, sales of heat-not-burn sticks in South Korea increased 6.8 times, from 78.7 million boxes to 538.6 million boxes.
