- At the 2023 Global Tobacco and Nicotine Forum (GTNF) held in Seoul, South Korea from September 19th to 22nd, GTNF founder Elise Rasmussen shared her original intention of creating GTNF, Development history and impact on the tobacco and nicotine industries.

- In August 2023, China’s e-cigarette exports to the UK were US$103 million (approximately 752 million yuan), a month-on-month decrease of 23.37% and a year-on-year decrease of 5.80%.
- The Guardian tested seven vapingproducts on Amazon that were stated to be nicotine-free on their seller pages, but only one was actually nicotine-free.
- The New South Wales state government in Australia has committed to investing AU$6.8 million within three years to combat illegal vapesales and increase support for young people addicted to vapes.

- At the GTNF forum, Brian.A.King, director of the U.S. FDA Tobacco Products Center, stated that the FDA is very supportive of vape innovation and will work hard to adapt to this change to promote innovative vape products to enter the U.S. market. At the same time, it stated that submitting a PMTA application for vape products does not mean that they can be sold legally.
- At the GTNF Forum, Julian Cheung, JTI Asia Pacific Anti-Illegal Trade Operations Director, pointed out that the global illegal cigarette trade volume will reach US$4 trillion in 2022, and the number of counterfeit tobacco products accounts for 33.9% of the total global cigarette production.
- In August 2023, China’s vapeexports to the United States totaled US$255 million (approximately RMB 1.858 billion), a month-on-month decrease of 3.05% and a year-on-year increase of 3.03%.

- The German Electronic Cigarette Trade Association (VdeH) stated that the number of physical sales points of professional e-cigarette retail stores in Germany has dropped by about one-third, to approximately 1,200.
- From 2017 to last year, sales of heat-not-burn sticks in South Korea increased 6.8 times, from 78.7 million boxes to 538.6 million boxes. In the first half of this year alone, sales volume has reached 292.6 million boxes, and it is expected that full-year sales in 2023 will exceed 600 million boxes for the first time.
- Lincoln City Council revoked the alcohol license of a shop after they found it was illegally selling e-cigarettes to minors.
