  1. On June 6, the U.S. FDA announced that it would voluntarily withdraw its marketing denial orders (MDOs) issued to JUUL in June 2022. The revocation of MDOs is neither an authorization nor a rejection, nor does it indicate whether the application may be authorized or rejected. The revocation of MDOs restores the application to pending status, which will be subject to substantive review by the FDA.

 

  1. JUUL appreciated the FDA’s announcement that it had revoked its marketing denial orders (MDOs) issued in June 2022 to JUUL products. JUUL stated that some of JUUL’s products will continue to be sold on the market during the review period.
