  1. The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration launched an investigation into Huawell TradeExport Shipping, a Chinese freight forwarding company, for allegedly illegally promoting and transporting vapes to Australia on social media, violating local import and advertising regulations. At the same time, Australian authorities are working to crack down on illegal vape advertising and sales activities through social media platforms.

 

  1. Thai Customs seized 128,130 illegal vapes worth approximately US$590,000 in Morakot Province, including the vapebrand “INFY”. Recently, Thai Customs has handled hundreds of vapesmuggling cases with a total value of more than US$2.7 million.

 

  1. British American Tobacco’s Korean subsidiary postponed the launch of synthetic nicotine vapesto the fourth quarter due to production preparation issues. This move may intensify competition in the Korean market because the product is not legally restricted.

 

  1.  The Canadian Convenience Industry Association called on the Quebec government to require vapesellers to hold food-grade alcohol licenses to curb the behavior of some stores circumventing vapeflavor sales regulations.

 

  1. The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently released a survey report on the smoking rate of adults between 2019 and 2023. The report shows that although the smoking rate of traditional cigarettes remains basically unchanged, the use of vapehas increased significantly.

 

  1. The Brazilian Federal Police and State Police intercepted smuggled vapes and tobacco flavors worth about US$2 million at the Setequedas International Port, involving more than 100,000 vapesand 100,000 packs of tobacco flavors. The case is currently under further investigation.
